At Oranges & Lemons we want your hi-fi system to be enjoyed for many years. Increasingly manufacturers are designing logical upgrade paths, so as to minimise the need to part exchange your existing system.

Arcam The Diva range is upgradeable by adding extra power amps which deliver greater bass definition and clarity by bi-amping.

Linn Their speakers sound excellent when driven actively. This can be achieved by adding a multi channel Chakra amplifier to enhance the performance of the Katan, Ninka, Espek or new Akurate speakers.

Naim's refinement of power supply design allows pre-amps throughout the range to be upgraded and, perhaps uniquely, their CD players can be too; The CD5X with FlatcapX or CDS with new 555PS power supply are both strong recommendations.
